In 2017 I acquired two MOOC certificates in embedded programming, through edX. While a sidestep from my usual projects, I found this to be very worthwhile and it brought my coding a lot closer to the hardware than were it usually happens. The course content was created by the University of Texas, and focused on embedded programming, (re-)introducing me to concepts such as bit-level I/O, bare-metal programming and RTOS creation.
